Home > About Us About Us SkyWarn UK Since July 2009 SkyWarn UK has been watching and warning for severe weather. Beginning as a small organisation primarily focused on severe convective weather, it has expanded to become one of the largest organisations of its kind in the UK, made up of a number of trained severe weather spotters and supporting members. SkyWarn UK now issues watches and warnings for severe weather events such as severe thunderstorms, damaging winds, disruptive snowfall, and flooding rains. These alerts are prepared and published by our dedicated Forecast Team providing 24/7 coverage 365 days per year. The SkyWarn UK website now provides a range of weather data, including GFS and RASP plotting, satellite and radar imagery, and synoptic analysis. Our Responsibilities
